Every now and then, every single one of us bloggers run into what is called “writer’s block”. It’s when you run into the struggle of finding ideas for your next blog posts and it’s SO annoying because you’re motivated to write… you just don’t know what to write about or how to put it into words what you want to write about. While most of us aren’t immune to writer’s block, there are ways to work through the block until the words flow again. That’s what I’m here to help you with today! Following these tips will help you find more inspiration. Every last single one of them keep me inspired on a daily basis but especially when I get “writer’s block” !!
Sometimes my posts are inspired by my current situations or circumstances. Honestly, it’s a great way for me to vent. However, I’m not big on sharing too much of my personal business with the world so instead, I try to deflect my circumstances in a positive and encouraging way. In the process of encouraging you, I’m encouraging myself too!
One thing that I’ve learned for sure in my time of blogging is that a lot of people are LAZY when it comes to reading! They don’t want to waste time on searching and gathering information. That’s the reason why lists are so popular! For example:

- 7 Ways to Keep a Consistent Relationship with Christ
- 3 Ways to Improve Your Mental Health

I originally created a Twitter account to discover more bloggers and connect with them but here lately, I’ve gotten in the habit of following a lot of other inspirational people that I don’t even think have blogs! Why? Because I LOVE their tweets! It’s like the things they post and share speak to personal parts of my life and they are SO encouraging!! Sometimes, the tweets also spark up blog post ideas for me. If I can relate to it in any, shape, form, or fashion then I might write about it or if their tweets relate to any of my posts I’m working on then I may add their tweet in it. (Notice how I used Derron E. Short’s tweet in this current post on #4.)
There are people that look up to you more than you will ever actually know. “Somebody somewhere is waiting for the wisdom of your experiences… for it will serve as their life jacket during their storms.” -Derron E. Short
Never be ashamed of your story. Help people heal through your words! You never know who’s life you’re saving or encouraging when you share your past experiences and testimonies. You can really make a strong impact on the lives of other people when you write posts like these. As a person and especially as a blogger, the type of impact you make in the lives of others is very important.
Hands down… I absolutely L O V E Pinterest !!! It is literally my most FAVORITE social media app. I get so many ideas from there that it’s unreal. Different dinner ideas, blog post ideas, pictures, memes, DIY projects, wedding decor/birthday party ideas, fashion and soooo much more! It’s rare for me to leave Pinterest feeling uninspired! This social platform is VERY helpful when you need some inspiration or encouragement.
GET TO KNOW ME POSTS!
Allow your readers and loyal followers the opportunity to get to know you better by making posts that include interesting facts about YOU! It’s important for your readers to feel like they can actually relate to the person behind the blog. I would advise you not to put personal information out there though because there are just some weird, creepy, dangerous stalking people in this world and they just don’t need to know the sacred details of your life. Don’t do that. Be wise! 🙂
Before I go, I just want to clarify that I’m not necessarily new to the blogging community but I’m totally new to being a “self hosted” blogger!! Although I’m proud of how successful my former blog was with WordPress, I’m even more excited to finally be hosting my own blog without SO many limitations! This particular post is actually from my former blog and A LOT of people found it to be helpful so I’m sharing it here in hopes that it will help you too!!
THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF MY NEW JOURNEY!
