7 Ways to Challenge Yourself Everyday!

Unless you try something beyond what you’ve already mastered, you will never grow! I truly believe that Self-Challenges are a part of Self-Care. There’s definitely more to Self-Care than just relaxation and treating yourself. It’s also about bettering and improving yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually!

So in the photo above are my own personal self challenges … that I fail daily but I do try! Some days I apply myself more than others but I’m on a mission to master each one of these at some point in my life haha! I think this a very healthy self care exercise to do in your own spare time! Make you a list and try to commit to it everyday!

  1. DON’T COMPLAIN – Try to go a whole 24hrs without complaining and see how much of a positive impact it has on your day. Instead, practice gratefulness!
  2. NO CUSSING! – Try to refrain from using such foul language. Remember, life & death are in the power of the tongue!! (Proverbs 18:21)
  3. PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMIES – The day you truly grasp the concept of why it’s important to pray for your enemies is the day you take a huge step of maturity in Christ. You may have had to save yourself from a toxic person but remember under that toxicity is a real person with alot to offer. Pray for their recovery! At the end of the day, Jesus still loves them just as much as He loves you whether you like it or not! Let them go but don’t write them off.
  4. NO GOSSIPING – This one was hard for me at first but over this past year, I’ve gotten much better at it. I think it has a lot to with who you choose to surround yourself with. Anywho, avoid conversations that aim to tear other people down!!
  5. DAILY GOALS – Strive to achieve at least one daily goal each day!
  6. SELF-COMPASSION – Be kind to yourself. Encourage yourself daily! Most importantly, be patient with yourself on your journey to success. Celebrate the small wins! Don’t think that just because their small they don’t mean anything. Success is a SERIES of small wins! Don’t ever forget that!!
  7. LEARN SOMETHING NEW! – Everyday make it your business to self educate and learn something new whether it’s a new word, healthy habit, new language, etc. Always take time to feed that intellectual part of you!!

  1. I will be trying a couple of these today! I always try not to curse and not to complain, I always think there is something positive to focus on in most situations!
Thank you for sharing with us.

  2. πŸ™‚ Jessie, I love number seven on your list.

Unfortunately, learning something daily for most people is akin to stepping outside of their comfort zone.

Learning something new every day is fun and exciting.

Do enjoy the rest of your day!

  3. This is a great set of daily goals! Definitely a few to keep in mind. Gratitude is incredibly important and rewarding! Forgiving those who have done you wrong is something I need to work on as I am very prone to holding grudges. Awesome list❀

  4. I love all of these! I definitely work on the no cussing (it slips more than I’d like to admit 😩 but not as much lately!) and learning something new and setting goals are amazing ways to challenge yourself daily! It takes work but so worth it πŸ™ŒπŸ» Great post!

    1. Girl , I’m working on my mouth too! Surprisingly I’ve done great today !! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I’ll probably never actually master that but I’ll definitely keep pressing toward the mark !! Thanks for reading and commenting !! ❀️

    1. Thank you!! πŸ’“ If you can achieve at least one goal each day, you’ll have a successful week!! Successful weeks turn into successful months and so forth !! Thanks so much for reading and commenting !!

  5. I like the Infographic you did for this. What a neat way to see all the goals you want to work on. I need to do something like this. I need some kind of vision to complete the work I want to do.

    1. Thank you !!
I actually got it from Canva and of course filled in the words myself πŸ’œ for the most part, it’s a free app to use to create your own photos whether it’s infographic, Insta, Pinterest, FB, invasions and etc some of them they charge for though but there’s a HUGE selection of free photos to use! This was one of them!

  6. Thank you for these amazing things we should all follow! I do believe gossip is for the most part petty and pretty immature. I refuse to do this ever! I do my best to never complain because it never helps matters at all. I do always try to set goals for myself and do my best to accomplish the goals I set daily! I do need to work on the self-compassion. I guess the truth is, I am very hard on myself. Great post Jess!!!
