Self Love πŸ–€ Self Care πŸ–€ Mental Health + Health & Fitness!! πŸ–€

Eat. Sleep. Blog. Repeat.

There are a lot of reasons why people blog. Some people do it for self expression, some do it to share their views and opinions and others do it to make money! Me? I do it for all those reasons but most importantly because it’s FUN !!

Blogging takes time and a lot of effort. I’m sure readers who own a blog can agree with me on that but I genuinely do it because overall it’s just fun and I literally cannot wait to make a career out of it! Why though? Let me tell you my reasoning behind it!

  1. Learn New Things! – Blogging gives you the opportunity to learn about all kinds of different things like other countries, their cultures, traditions and everyday life for them. If you struggle with things like Mental Health, Anxiety and Depression then you can most definitely learn about new, easy and fun coping skills that will lead you to healing. Even if you’re the type of person that loves trying new cooking recipes, you can find a lot of them here in the atmosphere of blogging!
  2. Gain New Perspectives! – Although you may already have your own view on certain things and situations, seeing it from other people’s perspectives has the potential to gain a new perspective and if not, blogging at least gives you the opportunity to see how other people in the world view things.
  3. Free to be Creative! – In the lovely world of blogging, you have the freedom to be as creative as you want! It doesn’t matter what niche you choose whether it’s in self care, mental health, religion, books, arts & crafts, video games, health & fitness or etc … you can write about whatever you absolutely want to write about and share it with people all over this world!
  4. Therapy! – Writing in general is just fun and one of the best forms of therapy!
  5. Money! – Blogging is a great and fun way to make money and if you’re good at it .. you could make a full-time job out of it!
  6. New Friendships! – Blogging opens the door for new friendships! I love interacting with my readers and for the ones who have blogs, I love reading about their life experiences, commenting on them and supporting when I can! It just becomes this beautiful thing of us helping each other grow daily! Sounds cheesy but it’s true!
  7. Self Peace! – Okay, this one is personal for me but a lot of times, I find peace during some of my life storms when I start blogging and encouraging people through it! Sometimes your biggest test is in how you’re able to help other people even while you’re going through your own trials and tribulations!
  8. Blogging Can Make Your Day! – It makes my heart smile when I read articles, posts, tweets and comments about how my work inspires and helps them grow. It always makes me feel good to know that I’m making a difference in people’s life and that there are people out there who genuinely appreciate my little corner on the internet!

  1. As a fellow blogger, I completely agree with all of your points! Except the money. My blog isn’t big enough to monetize just yet.

    1. Keep blogging and learning new things along the way and it’ll eventually happen to for you. ❀️ it does take time but the one thing that’s making me better money this time around vs my first blog is that I’m self hosted. There’s A TON of ways and freedom to bring that kind of money to your blog! I won’t be content with my revenue until I can make a full time job out of it though lol thanks for reading and commenting!! ❀️

    1. I’m glad to have you here in this blogging world !! You’re such a cool and down to earth person ❀️ I’m addicted to blogging too! That’s what makes it even better for me lol passion!

        1. Lol even in my busy moments I’m steadily thinking of ways to make my blog better or monetize it more lol even while I’m at my day job! I think as I’m working and take notes in my phone .. apply the ideas later when I get home and the day is done ❀️ lol thank you !!

          1. Taking notes is so tough! The other day I was on my bike, I had to stop by just to write an idea down into notes and the worst part, It’s not even post worthy.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
            I can totally relate.
            You’re welcome, btw!
            Keep writing!

          2. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ half of my notes really don’t make sense! I take crazy notes that will make me remember what I was thinking earlier that day lmao! Sometimes I forget but for the most part I remember!

          3. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ but you still produce GREAT content !! Your writing is so deep!

          4. No you’re not! I think it’s amazing how much meaning goes in your post without them having to be so long (like mine) lol I know mine are super long sometimes! Lol

          5. I try to write long ones, sigh.☹️ But I fail, like epic fail. Once I wrote something non stop for fifteen minutes and got up so proud because I finally wrote something big but to my surprise I only managed to write seven sentences.😐
That’s when I told myself, “no, brother, it’s a mountain you don’t wanna climb”. It’s hard to maintain quality in content when you write everyday so I try to take a break only to return the next day. The day without writing feels so incomplete.
After so many short posts I realized that my posts can never be long but comments actually are.πŸ˜‚

          6. Lmao !! 7 sentences !?! I cannot deal with you this morning !! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ so extra lol !!

    1. Lol I was the same way with my first blog that was free. Now that I’m using a self hosting platform , I really don’t mind the extra 50hrs a week I put into my blog because I know its paying off !! πŸ€—

        1. That’s totally fine with me!! I appreciate that so much !! I’ll try to figure out this afternoon how to had a reblog button on my page lol but you can always share them to your social media sites! ❀️

  2. I πŸ’― agree! I love blogging for all the same reasons. I have learned so much through reading blog posts. I love my new blogger friends and it makes me happy to support others when I can. Bloggers are some of the most supportive, friendly bunch. I never new it could be like this. At my job everyone’s scratching and clawing trying to get ahead. Communicating with my blogging friends gives me peace after a long hard day at work. I notice that you in particular are very supportive and I appreciate that. Keep up the good work!! πŸ™‚

    1. Awhhhh thanks Melissa !!! ❀️ I definitely try to be !! You’re right blogosphere is a very friendly atmosphere and I truly enjoy it!! Thanks for reading and commenting!!

  3. Absolutely agree with all of this! I admit that blogging has consumed my time and at times I feel like I’m addicted to it, haha! But, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Blogging has definitely changed my life for the BETTER! Glad to have met you and other amazing bloggers, too!

  4. Brilliant views Jessica! I can say I blog because I love writing and connecting with others. I hope to be able to help others that are struggling with life and or chronic illnesses! To be completely honest, I have absolutely no idea how to actually make money, but that would just be an added bonus to blogging!
