Perfection Isn’t Needed in Order to Inspire People!

Some people think they have to have it ALL TOGETHER before they can genuinely inspire others. Literally – there are some people that think without a college degree, they’re useless. Others feel as if they need to have already purchased a house, have a nice car or two and have the “perfect” love life or marriage before they can truly be an inspiration, make a positive impact or be that help to the world that it so desperately needs but that is so untrue!

Perfection is not needed in order to inspire people. Let others be inspired by how you deal with your own imperfections and how you still continue to succeed with them! Most people are not inspired by your “flawless” journey anyway. They’re most inspired and encouraged by the hurdles and hardships you had to overcome to get there! Sometimes, people just need to know how you survived some of your worst days and to those of you who have reached any kind of success, I think you can agree with me on the fact that you’ve probably had to fight through some TERRIBLE DAYS first before you could get to where you are now!

That’s why it’s so important to be honest when sharing your story with other people because you really never know who you’re actually helping. You never know who’s currently in a tough situation that you’ve already made it out of and sometimes your testimony could be the very thing that helps push them on through! You never know who’s mind you’ve changed about giving up and throwing in the towel. Sometimes, the power of your testimony is enough to stop a person from committing suicide! Sometimes, you are somebody else’s hope in just being honest about where you’ve already been in life, what you did, how you handled it and sometimes where you currently are and how you’re dealing with it now!

God did not call you to be perfect! Don’t ever think that just because you’ve not yet reached a certain level of success in life that you’re disqualified to be an encouragement to other people. GOD DOES NOT ALWAYS CALL THE QUALIFIED BUT HE QUALIFIES WHOM HE CALLS!! Get that all the way in your spirit today and you remember that next time the opportunity presents itself for you to be an encouragement to someone else. The journey to success is not a life full of fairytales and unicorns .. for you will have to fight through some tough days but you can make it!

“Pace yourself. The journey is long. If you’re following God, then enjoy the climb. If you rush it, you’ll ruin it. Nothing worth having happens overnight.” -Tony Gaskins

  1. Exactly! Who’s perfect? None and that doesn’t mean we have nothing to show or inspire because everyone is fighting their own battle.
But you know, sometimes what’s worth doesn’t come overnight but when it’s too late.πŸ˜‚ What’s it worth when it’s not of use anymore?
But you have a wonderful point here, well done.

    1. Right !!
I have some people in my personal life who seriously want to be a help to others but feel like they gotta have it all together first! It’s just not possible or necessary really! You made a great point in your comment and I appreciate you stopping by! I knew you were coming and some point or another!! πŸ€—β€οΈ I appreciate you!

        1. I totally agree with that !! πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

  2. I love this. It is nice to be reminded that anyone is qualified to talk about their experience. In all honesty, people who go through hardships and share them for the edification of others are doing a great service!

  3. I think this applies to giving your opinion on a subject that you’re not an expert in, we can still have valuable advice to give!

  5. So much love for this post πŸ’•. Its so true and i love how real you are being with it. We do all believe that perfection is the only way to be successful or to have a positive impact on other people’s lives. But it couldn’t be further from the truth. I love how you mention about hurdles and hardships being the most hard hitting and helpful to people. Everyone likes to know they are not alone and to see other people come out on top when they are facing a similar issue. We all need to stay authentic and show the world our truth. IIt really could be the lifeline you give to someone who is struggling. Thanks so much hun for sharing πŸ’•πŸ˜Š

    1. Yess they only show the best of them and not the ugly parts … but sometimes the ugly part is where the healing is !! Thank you so much for reading and commenting !!

  6. What a great post! I couldn’t agree with you more! This is what I try to express to those I come into contact with; the fact of perfectionism being a myth. I’m so grateful that you shared this.

  7. I think we all strive for perfection but in actual fact, perfection is an illusion, even the women and men in magazines, TV or film showing us what we ‘should be is a lie. I bet we all have something we’d change about ourselves, something to make ourselves into some unrealistic view of perfectionism. Great post. πŸ™‚
